Reflex Zone Therapy

Reflex Zone Therapy (RZT) is based on the principle that the body’s structure and its physical function are inter-related and that the anatomy governs physiological processes.  Structural imbalances can  therefore contribute to physical disorders.   By realigning the anatomical structures of the body  through  more focused manipulation of the 26 bones in the feet helps to restore physiological balance, and supports its natural healing mechanisms.

RZT is a deeper manipulative treatment than conventional reflexology and the technique may be more stimulating.  Shorter treatment sessions can be designed, or it can be incorporated into a normal reflexology therapy according to clients’ needs.

The above information has been adapted from Denise Tiran’s (2010) “Reflexology in Pregnancy and Childbirth”; (Elsevier), with permission from the author.  More information on pregnancy and the treatment of many associated ailments can be found on Denise’s website  Expectancy Ltd is a world leading consultancy on the use of complementary therapies in pregnancy and childbirth.  To further enhance my Maternity Reflexology training, I completed a year long Diploma in Clinical Reflexology for Pregnancy and Childbirth with Expectancy in July 2012 to enable me to work safely and appropriately with pregnant clients. Expectancy is the leading provider of professional education on complementary therapies in maternity care and the definitive source of information for expectant mothers on the safety of natural remedies.
As the results achieved with RZT have amazed my clients (and myself!) I have continued to use the techniques in my practice with non pregnant clients.
