Reflexology Support & Covid-19

Since April 2020, I have been working with a number of people online and in-person who are recovering from covid-19 and who had been left with many of the symptoms associated with long haul covid, such as fatigue, exhaustion, muscle aches / pains, headaches, sleep problems, brain fog to name a few.  The majority have responded positively and felt much better following a reflexology treatment and found the self help techniques useful in easing symptoms when they were unable to receive the therapy in person.

This work led me, in February 2021, to create a Reflexology Covid Support Group on Facebook where I share hand and facial reflexology self help techniques to help from afar.  As time goes on I will add information and invite guest speakers from the world of natural health to give advice and information on ways to fight this horrible illness and help you recover should you contract it.

As much as I would like to make this group open to the public, some of the techniques need to be taught on a 1:1 or small group basis and participants need interactive teaching so I can clarify, answer questions and explain the theory behind the methods in detail.

You can join the group by booking a short consultation and online tutorial for as little as £15, to learn the basics and gain access to a wealth of  self care information.  When you sign up, I will send you a few short videos explaining some facial reflexology maps and points to help boost the immune system, repair the respiratory system, help ease pain and discomfort and first aid nerve points for some of the most common long haul covid symptoms.  Therefore, the group is also open to anyone who wants to learn techniques to potentially help them recover quicker.  This programme is then taught and learning reinforced in a session on Zoom. You will then be added to the Facebook Group to access more techniques and interact with the caring, online community I hope to create.

Those who have participated so far have given the experience 10 out of 10 across the board.  Here’s what participants say:

“Fantastic videos.  Georgina is clearly so knowledgeable”  Rebecca

“It feels so good.  Even a few minutes of self care is something that’s been missing” Charlotte

“”I’m genuinely feeling better already” Michelle

Please note – the techniques will teach you how to work on yourself as a form of self care and are not to be performed on others.

Reflexology does not claim to cure or diagnose and unfortunately there are no guarantees that it will work for you.  Everyone responds on an individual basis.  Please see my “About Reflexology” page for more information about how it works.

The Association of Reflexologists recently released a video of hand reflexology techniques to help improve well being and ease the symptoms of long covid.  It is 45 minutes long so might be a lot to take in so I have broken the techniques into shorter videos and links can be found below:

Please get in touch if you would like to book in to join the group or if you would like to book an in person treatment.  I am currently (Feb 2021) able to work under strict CNHC guidelines with a few patients suffering with a physical or mental health condition – which long haul covid would come under with a doctors referral letter (link to CNHC criteria below).  So please get in touch if you think I can help.
