Hello lovely people, how are you all doing? I really hope 2025 has started off positively for you and you’re keeping warm, happy and sane during these last dark days of winter.
I thought it was time for another blog…as it’s only been a year since the last one and I have a lot to say so bear with me.
Many of you already know, but there were some major changes for the me personally and professionally in 2024. Edie has flown the nest to Uni in Leicester and is living her best life, loving her independence and working (and partying) hard…wonder where she gets that from! Elliott is busy working and generally being a wonderful young man. But the saddest thing and major change for us all in 2024 is my marriage ending. Sometimes you have to have the courage to know when a good thing has come to an end and know you’ll both be happier apart. It’s been tough and very weird not telling those of you I’ve known for many years and consider friends but your treatments are all about you and the timing never seemed right. So there it is. I’m ok, the kids are ok and I’m trying to focus on the positives and look to the future whatever that entails.
That’s the hard bit done…now onto the good stuff….Edie is studying the dark arts at uni (Marketing and Advertising) and has been helping me try and get my social media game on. I’ve not been inspired to do much over the last few months, and if I’m completely honest, would rather not do it at all but I know in this day and age it’s essential for business growth and keeping clients and followers informed. Therefore I’m aiming to make more of an effort to post interesting and engaging content and be a bit more authentically me. So expect some silliness thrown into the mix…once I’ve gotten myself a pedicure! If anyone out there fancies doing a treatment swap…hit me up!
With this new incoming social media campaign, it would really help me if you could get involved by engaging in my posts. Even by simply commenting with a HEART emoji on Instagram or Facebook would massively help and sharing any posts you think your friends might be interested in or tagging friends who you feel might benefit from reflexology would help me hugely! The algorithm is a bit of a b!tch so please stay engaged to make the effort worthwhile!
Another way you can help me spread some reflex love is by posting a review on Google…but only if you think you received 5 star treatment please. If you haven’t already done so, please pop a little review here as a lot of new customers choose to come and see me because of your kind words:

In September, Southcote moved to two new locations from our home in Sittingbourne Road, Maidstone to sites at College Road and Buckland Hill and I’ve had to drop my Tuesdays for now. The moves went smoothly and despite a few teething issues with noise, I’m now settled into my usual Wednesday clinic and the feedback has been positive. Funnily enough nobody seems to miss the stairs to the penthouse and I truly thank everyone for sticking with me in the new location at College Road, despite the sometimes annoying traffic issues.

In December, I celebrated being a Clinical Reflexologist for 20 years!!!! And some of you have been with me for nearly that long which blows my mind! Time flies when you love your job. For those who might be new here, here’s a reminder of all the reflexology services I now offer:

A little update on Sally
A lot of you keep asking when book number two is coming out! Although Sally and the Big Sleep is half written, sales of Sally Calms The Storm have been a bit slow, despite the 5 star reviews. I’m sure low sales are mostly due to bad marketing and people not knowing it exists, but hopefully that will change soon. I’d really like to do a few more school visits with Sally and pals this year as it’s such a joy seeing a room full of children enjoying the story and doing facial reflexology on themselves. The book is a bit niche and not the sort of book you’d stumble across on Amazon but if you’ve still to buy your copy, you can get it here. And don’t forget to leave a review if you have a copy and love it:
Join me for an Online Workshop
I’m going to start doing regular online facial reflexology workshops for wellbeing and different health related ailments, probably on a Thursday evening around 7ish. These workshops will last about 45 minutes, be low cost and equip you with a soothing facial routine and be sure to set you up for a good nights sleep. Keep an eye on the socials for details or drop me a message to be kept in the loop.
Book yourselves a treatment
The new online booking system with Setmore seems to be working well for my home clinic and you can book yourselves in here:
You can continue to book in at Southcote via their website:
I think that’s enough waffle from me for now (and possibly the year!). Thank you so, so much for trusting me with your health and wellbeing and for all your support in general. And a huge thank you for continuing to tell your friends about the benefits of reflexology, for recommending me, for buying books and gift vouchers and generally being the best customers a nearly 50 year old gal could wish for! Yes I failed to mentioned I’ll be celebrating 50 goes around the sun in September so make sure you’re following me for all the fun (and possibly tipsy) updates as I’ll be stringing out the celebrations for months!
