Covid Secure Workplace

Covid Secure Workplace Policy

Things will look a little different when you come to your first Reflexology appointment post lock down.  To make everything safe for us all please follow these guidelines as advised by The Association of Reflexologists.  I can email you my full Covid Secure Workplace Policy if you wish.

As a responsible and lovely client you will be required to:

•  Complete a risk assessment before each treatment. (See list of questions below)

•  Remain in your car until I collect you.  Please come alone

•  Leave non essential items such as bags, phones, coats, watches, jewellery in the car

•  Wear appropriate comfortable clothing

•  On arrival declare if anything has changed with your health or within your family unit.

• Wash or sanitize your hands on arrival

• Please bring your own face covering.  If you forget, I have some disposable ones available for the additional cost of 50p.  If you are severely uncomfortable with this, you may remove your mask once reclined in the chair.  I will remain in a mask throughout.

• Bring your own bottle of water (recommended) and blanket (if required)

•  Inform me if you develop symptoms of Covid-19 after your treatment

• Please pay by card or bank transfer where possible to avoid the use of cash.  I now have a card reading machine to take payments before your treatment but I would prefer bank transfer if possible to avoid transaction fees.

•  Please wash or sanitise your hands before you leave.

Thank you to for letting me amend this great graphic.

Visitors to Southcote Proactive Healthcare

For more information on what to expect when visiting Southcote, please visit  All of the above and below will apply with a few extras.  In a nutshell:

You will be required to log in to your account or register and provide your email address.  Reception will then email you a “In Take” form before your first visit post lock down.

You will be required to complete a “Covid screening survey” (much like the questions I’ll ask before your appointment if you were coming to my home clinic).  This will be sent 24 hours before your appointment and may go into your “junk” email folder, so please be aware of this and check.  I will be checking that these are completed on the day of your appointment and will text you requesting you complete it if you’ve missed it.  I cannot treat you if this has not been filled in.

The front desk will not be staffed and you will be required to pay online.  After your first post lock down appointment you will be sent a pay balance invite.  Your card details can then be stored securely and protected on your account and future payments will only processed after your treatment.  If you have any concerns about storing card details, please call reception before your appointment and pay over the phone.

Any questions, please ask.

Hygiene Protocols

Please be assured that before each new client enters my treatment room the following cleaning procedures will be carried out:

Doors and windows will be opened to ventilate the room for at least 20 minutes

All door handles, switches and grab rails will be sanitized.

Toilet, light switch, taps, flush and sink will be cleaned and towel changed.

LaFuma chair will be cleaned with medical grade disinfectant and cover replaced.

Floor will be mopped with antiviral cleaner

I will change my antibacterial apron and face mask.

Change of towels – previous towels removed in lidded bin and new, clean towels in place.

Bins emptied, double bagged and discarded safely.

Card machine will be sanitized.

My hands will have been washed multiple times for a minimum of 20 seconds.

There will be no overlap or waiting area and I will leave 30 min gaps between appointments to avoid cross over contact and to allow cleaning and ventilation time.

Client Risk Assessment

Before each appointment, I will message you to ask the following questions.   If you’re visiting Southcote you will receive an email of similar questions 24 hours before your appointment. Please consider, and answer truthfully and responsibly (no matter how desperate you are for a treatment):

* Have you been in contact, in the last 14 days, with someone who has been diagnosed with or suspected of having the Coronavirus or been contacted by NHS Track & Trace team and advised to self isolate?

These include those with the following conditions: weakened or compromised immune systems, transplants, severe lung conditions, severe asthma, severe COPD, born with serious heart condition or are pregnant, etc.

* Are you defined by the Government as being vulnerable?

These include those with the following conditions: Pregnancy, being elderly (over 70), long term conditions such as diabetes, non-severe lung conditions, heart conditions, etc.

Travel Considerations – Will you have to travel on public transport to the clinic or be subject to any other situation which might lead to you being exposed to Covid-19?

If you answered NO to all of the above, you are safe to attend your appointment.  If you answer yes, please give me a call to discuss or reschedule.  I will only confirm your appointment if I can honestly answer NO to all of the above too.

Data Protection – Please note – If I am contacted by Track and Trace I may be required to share your contact details for legal reasons.  Please get in touch if you have any concerns regarding this.

Hygiene and your safety is of paramount importance to me and if there is anything you are unsure about please let me know before your appointment.

I cannot wait to see you all again soon and new clients are very, very welcome.
