THIS ALL STARTED IN 2003 WHEN I...
sought reflexology for fertility reasons as was struggling to fall pregnant due to suffering with polycystic ovary syndrome. After the first treatment I was amazed at how wonderful I felt and had never been so relaxed and stress free. I knew immediately that I needed to know more about this miraculous therapy and looked into practitioner courses. And after five reflexology sessions I discovered I was pregnant!
I qualified as a Reflexologist in 2004 having trained at the Philip Salmon School of Reflexology in London and have been a Full Member of the Association of Reflexologists since then. I registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council in 2010 to become voluntarily regulated.
Having trained whilst pregnant, it was easy to decide which area of Reflexology I wanted to specialise in and in 2005 I completed Suzanne Enzer’s Maternity Reflexology course. Suzanne Enzer is a former midwife and one of the leading Maternity Reflexologist in the UK (if not the world) and has been teaching her techniques globally for many years. The course covers many subjects including pre-conception, pregnancy, birthing and postnatal Reflexology for mum and baby. I found the course particularly interesting as I was expecting my second child at the time and could really relate to and appreciate the content.
Although I have a particular interest and passion for working with women, I enjoy and have experience working with people of all ages helping to ease many different symptoms and conditions.
I enjoy keeping up to date with my CPD points by attending various courses and conferences to keep my skills fresh and learn new techniques to further benefit my clients. Details of my post graduate training can be found below.
I live in Rainham, Kent with my husband Jay, my gorgeous teens Elliott and Edie and Lolly, our rescue lurcher. I feel I have the best job in the world and when I’m not working, I enjoy live music (especially in the sunshine with a drink in hand), walking barefoot on the beach, hikes with the dog , visiting art galleries, painting, drawing and creating. I long to live by the sea (Margate is my happy place – along with Glastonbury Festival).
I love meeting new people and introducing them to the wonders of reflexology.
