LONG COVID

HOW CAN REFLEXOLOGY HELP ME

Since April 2020, I have been working with many people online and in-person who are recovering from covid-19 and who had been left with many of the symptoms associated with long haul covid, such as fatigue, exhaustion, muscle aches / pains, headaches, sleep problems, brain fog to name a few. The majority have responded positively and felt much better following a reflexology treatment and found the self help techniques useful in easing symptoms when they were unable to receive the therapy in person.

This work led me, in February 2021, to create a Reflexology Covid Support Group on Facebook where I share hand and facial reflexology self help techniques to help from afar. As time goes on I will add information and invite guest speakers from the world of natural health to give advice and information on ways to fight this horrible illness and help you recover should you contract it.

As much as I would like to make this group open to the public, some of the techniques need to be taught on a 1:1 or small group basis and participants need interactive teaching so I can clarify, answer questions and explain the theory behind the methods in detail.

You can join the group by booking a short consultation and online tutorial for as little as £15, to learn the basics and gain access to a wealth of self care information. When you sign up, I will send you a few short videos explaining some facial reflexology maps and points to help boost the immune system, repair the respiratory system, help ease pain and discomfort and first aid nerve points for some of the most common long haul covid symptoms. Therefore, the group is also open to anyone who wants to learn techniques to potentially help them recover quicker. This programme is then taught and learning reinforced in a session on Zoom. You will then be added to the Facebook Group to access more techniques and interact with the caring, online community I hope to create.

A FEW

LONG COVID SYMPTOMS

The symptoms experienced by long covid sufferers are vast and unique  to the individual.  no two experiences are the same.  Here is a list of common ailments:

  • Respiratory issues – breathlessness, cough, tight chest
  • Cardiovascular problems – chest pain, palpitations
  • General – fatigue, fever, pain
  • Neurological – “brain fog”, memory issues, loss of concentration, headache, sleep disturbance, numbness, pins and needles, dizziness, delierium
  • Gastrointestinal symptoms – abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhoea, reduced appetite
  • Musculoskeletal issues – joint pain, muscle aches
  • Psychological – depression, anxiety

If you think you might be suffering with the after effects of this horrible disease, please get in touch, as reflexology may help.

There are no guarantees and reflexology does not claim to cure or diagnose but many report feeling better following a treatment.
